EDMOND – The University of Central Oklahoma men's basketball has its 2021 signing class put together and one-by-one the future Bronchos will be unveiled on bronchosports.com in the month of June.
Up this week is the last of four signees, a transfer from Sam Houston State, Manny Crump.
Originally from Miramar High in Miami, Florida, Crump attended Sam Houston State in Huntsville, Texas for his junior season in 2020-21 after spending two years at Coffeyville Community College in Kansas.
A 6-foot-7 forward, Crump played in all 27 games for SHSU last season and made seven starts. He averaged four points per game and 2.4 rebounds per game. Crump posted a season-high nine points against Rio Grande Valley in December. That tied his season-high set two weeks earlier against LeTourneau.
Crump averaged 9.4 points per game and 5.5 rebounds per game as a sophomore at Coffeyville in 2019-20. He posted a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds in leading CCC to a JUCO regional championship and a spot in the national tournament just before it was canceled.
He averaged 7.6 points and 5.2 rebounds per game as a freshman in 35 games during the 2018-19 season.
Central Oklahoma, winners of 22 conference or division championships, starts the 2021-22 season this November.
