Central Inches Up National Rankings

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The NFCA announced Wednesday its weekly national coaches' poll and the University of Central Oklahoma moved up one spot to No. 14 this week.

Central Oklahoma 34-10 this season and currently in between rounds of the 2021 MIAA Tournament. UCO swept a best-of-three series from Northwest Missouri to advance to the four-team double elimination tourney (in Edmond) this weekend. The winner of the tournament will receive an automatic bid to the national tournament next weekend.

The Bronchos are the regular season champion in the MIAA and No. 1 seed in the conference tournament. UCO went 21-5 in league play this season and is the only team in the MIAA appearing in the national rankings.

Central Oklahoma plays Rogers State Thursday at 2 p.m. in the first game of the MIAA Tournament semifinal round.
