Ten Hoopsters Honored For Academics

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The MIAA announced Thursday its postseason academic awards for women's basketball and the University of Central Oklahoma had 10 student-athletes honored.

Central Oklahoma landed 10 student-athletes on the MIAA Honor Roll, a spot given to SAs that have a 3.0 grade point average and have completed at least two semesters at their respective school.

UCO had one student-athlete receive the Academic Excellence Award, given to all SAs with a 4.0 GPA. Central also had one student-athlete receive MIAA Scholar Athlete recognition for both carrying at least a 3.5 GPA and receiving All-MIAA honors this season on the court.
