Central Oklahoma Draws Emporia State For MIAA Quarterfinals

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The 2021 MIAA Basketball Championship Tournament, presented by Citizens Bank & Trust, now has tipoff times, the league announced Sunday. And for the University of Central Oklahoma women's basketball team, it will be a 6 p.m. tip this Wednesday in Emporia, Kansas.
 
Central Oklahoma finished the 2020-21 regular season with a record of 14-8 and earned the fifth-seed in the tournament. The Bronchos will take on fourth-seeded Emporia State at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the MIAA Championship Quarterfinals.
 
The two schools split the regular season meetings 1-1. Central Oklahoma beat Emporia State in Edmond a week after coming up short in Emporia.
 
The 2021 MIAA Basketball Championship will be live on The MIAA Network. UCO's game will also air live on 1560 The Franchise 2 with coverage beginning at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday evening.
