Streaking UCO Nearing Top 25

WILMINGTON, Del. – The University of Central Oklahoma men's basketball team inched closer to the Top 25 this week. The Bronchos are listed among those receiving votes in the Week 6 D2SIDA national poll.

Central Oklahoma is 9-2 this season overall and 5-1 in MIAA contests. The Bronchos have also won five in a row in league play. UCO boasts the top scoring average for any team in the MIAA at 84.1 points per game. That mark also ranks 37th nationally.

Central Oklahoma is off for the holiday break but will be back in action next week. The Bronchos host Southwestern Christian at Hamilton Field House Thursday, Dec. 30.

The Bronchos have been ranked in each of D2SIDA's Central Regional rankings this season and are fifth in the region this week. The top three teams in the region are nationally ranked with three of the next four squads, including Central, receiving votes in the national poll.

After next week's matchup with SCU, Central will then turn the calendar over and ready for the home stretch. The Bronchos are scheduled to play nine games in January (five at home) and seven in February (four at home).
