EDMOND – The University of Central Oklahoma men's basketball team hosts Emporia State for their final game of the 2018-19 season. The Bronchos are currently 11-16 overall and 4-14 in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association.
 
"This will be a good matchup." UCO head coach Tom Hankins said. "It was a close game the first time we played them, but we should have won. We didn't crash the boards and stop them on defense as much as we should have. We need to come out ready to get the win for the last regular season game."
 
Adarius Avery leads the Bronchos averaging 21.4 points and 10.4 rebounds. The Memphis, Tenn. native is the only player in the MIAA to be averaging a double-double and he currently leads the MIAA in rebounding and is fourth in scoring.
 
Josh Holliday averages 8.7 points and 1.9 rebounds. Marquis Johnson adds a 7.4 scoring average and leads the team in assists with 84.
 
The Bronchos average 76 points a game with a field goal percentage of 44 percent. UCO continues to dominate from the free-throw line, leading the conference in free-throw percentage averaging 78 percent.
 
Emporia State is 11-15 overall and 6-11 in the MIAA.
 
These two teams met earlier in the season, ESU coming out on top by just three points. Julius Jackson added 26 points for the Hornets in that game. Kooper Glick had 17. They are both the leading scorers for ESU. Jackson averages 15 points and 2 rebounds and Glick brings in an average of 12.4 points and 4.2 rebounds.
 
This will be the final regular season game for the Bronchos and will also be senior day recognizing the three seniors, Adarius Avery, Josh Holliday, and Jordon London.
