EDMOND – The University of Central Oklahoma men's basketball team announced Wednesday the signing of Davon Richardson from Sand Springs to a national letter of intent.
Richardson is a 6-foot-3 guard who will bring an exciting style of play to Central in 2020-21.
"Davon has been a huge asset to our program during his career at Sand Springs," Eric Savage, Richardson's high school coach, said. "Helping lead us to the Class 6A state tournament and a regional championship during his sophomore and junior seasons. Davon is an exceptional athlete who delivers an exciting brand of basketball. We are extremely proud of him and excited he gets to fulfill his dream of playing college basketball while getting his education at UCO."
Richardson has been named All-Conference two seasons in a row and has also been named to the All-VYPE team in each of the past two seasons. He starts his senior season later this month.
Central Oklahoma men's basketball has won over 1,300 games all-time. The Bronchos have won 22 conference or division championships and have had 22 student-athletes named All-American.
