Central Oklahoma hosts Missouri Western

The University of Central Oklahoma football team returns to Wantland Stadium in Week 7 to host Missouri Western, with the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association matchup kicking off at 1 p.m. Saturday.
 
Central Oklahoma enters the game with a 2-4 record and is looking to snap a three-game losing streak. Missouri Western is 4-2 on the season and is receiving votes in this week's American Football Coaches Association Top 25.
 
MWSU has a 6-3 advantage in the all-time series between the two schools. UCO won last season, 17-16, in St. Joseph, Mo. The Bronchos also have wins in 2014 and 2016. The series has seen a different winner each year for the past six seasons.
 
UCO will look to maintain its well-balanced offense as it efforts to return to the win column. The Bronchos average 371.2 yards of offense per game, 224.2 passing and 147 rushing.
 
T.J. Roberts is the team's leading rusher. The junior has 369 yards rushing in five games played this season. He's done that on 63 carries, averaging just under six yards per carry. Roberts has three rushing touchdowns.
 
Saboor Daniels is averaging 7.0 yards per carry this season. The sophomore running back has 140 yards on 20 carries with two rushing touchdowns.
 
Central Oklahoma's passing attack has been led by both Keats Calhoon and Will Collins. Collins has a team-high 625 yards passing with five touchdowns. Calhoon has thrown for 575 yards and three scores. Their numbers are near even, with Collins 49 of 89 this season and Calhoon 48 of 91.
 
UCO gets more help in the passing game. Chandler Garrett also has three touchdown passes on three pass completions. He's 3-for-5 for 68 yards and three touchdowns. Daniels is also 1-for-1 with a 46-yard touchdown and Johnny Bizzell IV is 1-for-1 with a 31-yard touchdown.
 
Amonte Phillips has been the leading receiver this season. A sophomore, Phillips has 25 catches for 307 yards and three touchdowns. Dustin Basks has 17 receptions for 304 yards and two touchdowns. Mekail Hall (12-138), Josh Moore (9-119), and Taj Griffin (6-113), have also been factors in the passing game for Central Oklahoma.
 
Defensively, Central will look to slow a Missouri Western offense that ranks third in the league in scoring (42.5 ppg), and fourth in the league in both passing (254.2 ypg) and rushing (212.8 ypg).
 
O'Shay Harris, a returning All-American safety, leads UCO with 41 tackles at the halfway point of the 2019 season. Harris has four pass breakups in the secondary and is always running toward the ball.
 
Jeremiah Hill is second on the team with 40 tackles, Jakarri Hunt has 38, and Dillon Hall, 26.
 
Central Oklahoma has forced 11 turnovers this season. The Bronchos have forced eight fumbles and recovered seven of them. UCO also has four interceptions. Kolby Underwood leads the team with two picks.
 
UCO plays three of its next four games at Wantland Stadium. The Bronchos host Missouri Western Saturday at 1 p.m. before visiting Washburn in Topeka, Kan. In Week 8. Central will then host Missouri Southern on Nov. 2 and Northeastern State on Nov. 9 before closing out the regular season Nov. 16 at Emporia State.
