INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 13) – Central Oklahoma's Ashlyn Carroll and Juanna'e Lewis met qualifying standards for the NCAA Division II Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships and will travel to Allendale, Mich. for that three-day meet next Thursday-Saturday.

Carroll will compete in the heptathlon, while Lewis will run in the 200-meter dash.

A junior from Enid, Carroll scored a school-record 4,991 points in the heptathlon last week to earn a spot in the national meet, which will be held at Grand Valley State Track and Field Stadium.

The seven-event heptathlon begins Thursday at 11 a.m. with the 100-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put and 200-meter dash before finishing Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with the long jump, javelin and 800-meter run.

Lewis, a freshman from Freeport, Bahamas, ran a school-record 24.22 in the 200 this spring and will be one of 21 runners in the field.  The preliminaries are set for 5:30 p.m. Friday, with the finals at 4:40 p.m. Saturday.
