Bronchos Back In Action Wednesday At ECU

BRONCHOS TO RESUME SEASON:  Central Oklahoma returns to action after an 11-day break Wednesday when the Bronchos travel to Ada to take on intrastate rival East Central in the final non-conference game of the season.
 
Game-time at ECU's Kerr Activities Center is 12 p.m.
 
UCO is 8-2 on the season and hasn't played since a 74-61 road loss to Northeastern State on Dec. 19.  The Tigers are 1-6 and will be playing for the first time since a 61-39 home loss to Texas A&M-Commerce on Dec. 16.
 
The Bronchos resume Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association play Saturday with an afternoon contest against Northwest Missouri in Maryville, Mo.
 
ABOUT THE SERIES:  UCO owns a 27-20 lead in the rivalry with the Tigers and has won the last 12 meetings.
 
The Bronchos claimed a 60-51 home victory last year.  ECU's last win came during the 2005-06 season (65-62).
 
ABOUT THE BRONCHOS:  UCO had a three-game winning streak stopped in its last outing before the Christmas break, dropping a 74-61 decision at league rival Northeastern State to drop to 3-2 in the MIAA.
 
The Bronchos have played all five of its league games on the road and have two more left  (Northwest Missouri and Missouri Western) after Wednesday's game at ECU.
 
UCO is averaging 73.2 points a game and leads the conference in free throw percentage (78.0).
 
Senior McKenzie Solberg continues to top the team in scoring (16.4), rebounding (4.8), steals (1.9), field goals percentage (49.1, 54-of-110) and free throw percentage (86.5, 45-of-52).  She was held to a season-low nine points in the loss to NSU.
 
Junior Marley Anderson is averaging 10.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and a team-high 3.7 assists a game while shooting 50.0 percent (15-of-30) from 3-point range and 80.0 percent (24-of-30) from the charity stripe.
 
Senior Julia Mason adds 10.2 points and 4.2 rebounds a contest.
 
The Bronchos are 4-0 when scoring 80-plus points this season and are 5-2 in true road games.  UCO has played just two home games so far, though it plays 11 of its last 15 at Hamilton Field House.
 
ABOUT THE TIGERS:  East Central is 1-3 in the Great American Conference and has lost four straight since picking up its lone win Nov. 21 with a 66-56 home victory over Arkansas-Monticello.
 
The Tigers are averaging 56.7 points a game and have two players in double figures – Alexa Adair (15.9) and Whitney Stotler (10.7).  Stotler adds a team-high 6.4 rebounds an outing.
