UCO Opens Home Season Monday

UCO MAKES HOME DEBUT:  Unbeaten Central Oklahoma plays its first home game of the season and returns from a 13-day break Monday when the Bronchos host Mid-America Christian.
 
Tip-off at Hamilton Field House is 5:30 p.m.
 
UCO is 3-0 on the season and hasn't played since a 63-51 win over Oklahoma Christian on Nov. 17.  The Evangels are 2-3.
 
The Bronchos open Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association play later this week with road games at Missouri Southern and Pittsburg State.
 
ABOUT THE SERIES:  This is the first-ever meeting between UCO and MACU.
 
BRONCHOS AT HOME:  UCO has a 251-172 record at Hamilton Field House, including a 72-34 mark under 10th-year head coach Guy Hardaker.
 
The Bronchos went 9-4 at home last season.
 
ABOUT THE BRONCHOS:  UCO is averaging 67.7 points a game and has been led in the early going by McKenzie Solberg.
 
The senior guard tops the Bronchos in scoring (21.7), rebounding (6.3) and steals (3.3) while shooting 60.0 percent (21-of-35) from the field and 82.6 percent (19-of-23) from the line.
 
Freshman Sadie Mason is the only other player in double figures, averaging 11.7 points a game.  She's shooting 44.8 percent (13-of-29) from the field and 81.8 percent (9-of-11) from the line while adding 4.0 rebounds.
 
UCO has made just 18-of-63 shots (28.6 percent) from 3-point range.
 
The Bronchos have been stingy defensively in the early going, giving up just 57.7 points a game while limiting opponents to 31.1-percent shooting from the field.
 
ABOUT THE EVANGELS:  Mid-America Christian has dropped its last two games, falling to Cumberland 71-63 in its last game on Nov. 21.
 
The Evangels are averaging 72.6 points a game and have three players in double figures.
 
Kelli Tolar leads the way with a 20.2 scoring standard, having hit 15-of-34 long-range shots (44.1 percent).  Tierra Brown adds 12.8 points and a team-high 7.6 rebounds and Sarai Rodriguez is averaging 12.6 points a game.
