BRONCHOS HOST FINAL HOME GAME
Central Oklahoma wraps up the 2013-14 home schedule Saturday when the Bronchos take on intrastate rival Northeastern State.
 
Tip-off for the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association contest is 1:30 p.m. at Hamilton Field House.
 
UCO is 10-13 on the season and tied for 10th in the league standings at 5-11.  The RiverHawks are also 10-13 overall and tied for eighth in the conference at 7-9.
 
The top four teams in the regular season standings earn first-round byes in the MIAA Post-season Tournament, while teams 5-8 host teams 9-12.  The final three rounds of the tournament are held in Kansas City, Mo.
 
UP NEXT
UCO ends the regular season on the road next week, going to Fort Hays State Wednesday and Nebraska-Kearney Friday.
 
THE SERIES
NSU has a 34-20 lead in the series and has won the last five meetings, including a 63-61 victory Feb. 6 in Tahlequah, Okla.
 
The RiverHawks made the go-ahead 3-pointer with eight seconds left in that game and UCO's tying layup try at the buzzer was no good.  Jill Bryan led the Bronchos with 16 points, while Olivia Mason had 12 points and 11 rebounds.
 
ABOUT UCO
• The Bronchos have lost seven straight games, four of those by six points or less.  UCO is averaging 65.5 points a game for the season, but has scored 61 points or less six times in that seven-game span.
 
• Senior Jill Bryan leads the team with a 13.0 scoring average while adding 4.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.5 steals a game.  She's made at least one 3-pointer in 20 of UCO's 23 games this season and has scored 20-points three times.  Bryan ranks 14th on the school's career scoring list with 938 points.
 
• Senior Britney Morgan is right behind Bryan in 15th place on UCO's all-time points list with 902.  She also ranks fourth in career 3-pointers attempted (404) and fifth in 3-pointers made (145).  Morgan is averaging 9.2 points and 2.8 assists a game.
 
• Sophomore Julia Mason is second on the team in both scoring (10.9) and rebounding (5.3).  She's had three double-doubles this season and has averaged 13.3 points in the last three games.
 
• Freshman Olivia Mason tops the Bronchos in rebounding with 6.8 a contest to go with a 9.2 scoring average.  She's had 10-plus rebounds in six games this season.
 
ABOUT NSU
• The RiverHawks have lost three straight games since beating UCO on Feb. 6.  NSU is averaging 59.4 points a game and giving up 60.1, having held six opponents to 50 points or less.
 
• Fontana Tate is the lone player averaging in double figures with 11.0 points a game.  She had 15 points in NSU's earlier win over the Bronchos.
