Bronchos Host OC Tuesday

Central Oklahoma makes its home debut Tuesday when the Bronchos host near-by rival Oklahoma Christian.

Game-time is 5:30 p.m. at Hamilton Field House. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors (62-plus) and $5 for children (5-17) and UCO faculty/staff.

UCO is 1-1 after opening the season at the 2014 Stuteville Automotive Group MIAA/GAC Basketball Challenge in Tahlequah last weekend. The Lady Eagles are 1-0.

The Bronchos dropped their first game 69-66 to Southeastern Oklahoma before beating Northwestern Oklahoma 66-59 the next day.

Kylie Mayes leads UCO with a 14.5 scoring average. Olivia Mason adds 9.5 points and a team-high 8.0 rebounds, with Haley Weathers also averaging 9.5 points a game.

McKenzie Stanford had 20 points and seven rebounds to pace OC in its season-opening 88-56 rout of York Saturday in Oklahoma City. Hope Dawkins added 14 points.

The Eagles have a 20-11 lead in the series and have won the last three meetings, though this is the first game between the two since the 2006-07 season.

UCO goes to Denton, Texas this weekend for the 2014 Marriott Champions Circle Pioneer Premiere, playing Midwestern State Friday and host Texas Woman's Saturday.
