WACO, Texas – Central Oklahoma is once again receiving votes in the AFCA coaches' poll, announced Monday.
The Bronchos were just outside the Top 25 in the preseason and in the first three polls of the regular season before dropping out altogether last week. After a win over the No. 7 team in the country Saturday night in Edmond, UCO is back to receiving votes.
Central Oklahoma received 19 total points in the poll of 31 coaches from around the country. UCO is the ninth-most points outside of the Top 25.
UCO is 2-2 on the season and 1-1 in the MIAA. The Bronchos beat Northwest Missouri on Saturday in Edmond. NWMSU dropped from No. 7 to No. 13 in this week's poll.
MIAA rival Emporia State is up to No. 10 after a bye week. Central Missouri is also receiving votes and had a total of two points in the poll.
The Bronchos will meet UCM in Warrensburg, Missouri this weekend. Central Missouri hosts Central Oklahoma Saturday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. UCO is looking to avenge a 35-34 loss to the Mules last season in Edmond.
Central Missouri is ranked No. 21 in the D2Football.com Top 25 announced Sunday. UCM is 3-1 overall this season and 2-0 in the MIAA.
