Central Oklahoma won its first MIAA title in 2024, posting a 9-1 record in league play. It was the first league championship since the Bronchos joined the MIAA in 2012. UCO earned the No. 4 seed in the NCAA Division II Football Championship Super Region IV, hosting a first-round matchup when it beat Ouachita Baptist 38-31 in overtime at Chad Richison Stadium in Edmond. UCO lost on the road to eventual national champion Ferris State in the second round of the playoffs.

In 2025, Dorrel returns more than 40 lettermen, 12 starters, and four All-Americans.

Huff is back for his junior season. The All-American quarterback was among the nation's best, throwing for a school record 3,588 yards and 34 touchdowns. Cottrell, a sixth-year senior, is back. The All-American running back rushed for 1,332 yards and 13 touchdowns last fall. Lee, a senior All-American on the offensive line, is back after paving the way for the top-ranked offense in the country (538.4 yards per game).

Puckett, a junior All-American linebacker also returns this year after racking up more than 100 tackles last fall. He led the team in tackles, tackles for a loss (15), and quarterback sacks (seven).

Central Oklahoma opens the 2025 season in Week 0, Saturday, Aug. 30 at UT Permian Basin. The non-conference battle against the Lone Star school takes place in Midland, Texas. UCO makes its home debut with a marquee matchup, hosting Pittsburg State on Saturday, Sept. 6 at Chad Richison Stadium.
