UCO Earns No. 3 Seed For Championship Finals

Bronchos Open Tournament Play Thursday Against Pace

INDIANAPOLIS – Central Oklahoma is the No. 3 seed for this week's 2025 NCAA Division II Softball Championship Finals in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

The No. 4-ranked Bronchos (51-9) will take on 14th-rated and No. 6 seed Pace (46-11) at 5:30 p.m. (Central time) at Tennessee-Chattanooga's Frost Stadium in the last of four first-round games in the double-elimination tournament.

UCO captured the Central Region title and is making its fifth Championship Finals appearance, while the Setters from Pleasantville, New York won the East Region in earning their first-ever Championship Finals bid.

Top-ranked and defending national champion Texas-Tyler earned the No. 1 seed and will face eighth-seeded Western Washington, while Tampa is the No. 2 seed and takes on No. 7 Shippensburg. Fourth-seeded North Georgia plays No. 5 Saginaw Valley State in the other opening-round game.

The four first-round winners play again Friday, while the losers return to action Saturday. The tournament continues Saturday and Sunday before the two survivors meet in a best-of-three series to determine the national champion May 27-28.
