UCO Begins National Title Quest Monday Morning

Central Oklahoma Tees Off For First Of Three Rounds Of Stroke Play

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Central Oklahoma begins the 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championship Monday morning at PGA National.

UCO is competing for a national title for the second year in a row. Jordan Wilson, Bennett Baldwin, Nick Canales, Baylor Bostick, Karsten Paciotti, and Dylan Henderson make up the UCO lineup, with Henderson available as a substitute. The first five tee off Monday morning beginning with Paciotti at 9:26 a.m. (Eastern) and finishing up at 10:10 a.m. with Wilson.

Teams will play 54 holes, 18 each day Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to determine a national champion. The stroke play portion will also determine the top eight (of 20) teams to advance to match play Thursday morning. The national semifinals will be played Thursday afternoon with the national championship match scheduled for Friday morning.

Last May, Wilson was national runner-up in the 54-hole stroke play portion of the tournament. He led the Bronchos to a third-place finish. UCO lost its quarterfinal match against eventual national champion Colorado Christian. The Bronchos are paired with CCU Monday morning.

Wilson is ranked 15th in the country in the latest Scoreboard by Clipped rankings. The top player in the Central Region has a 70.5 scoring average through 29 rounds of golf. Wilson has two wins – in Dallas in October and in Kansas in April. From Edmond, Wilson has also finished third, sixth, and ninth this season. His 1-under 212 earned him sixth at the Regional Championship two weeks ago.

Baldwin is ranked 19th in the country and second in the region, and he carries the team's best scoring average at 70.3 through 31 rounds of golf. The senior from Stillwater has finished in the top 10 in eight events this season, including three of the last four. Baldwin was runner-up to Wilson in Dallas and runner-up two weeks earlier in the regional preview at St. Joseph, Missouri.

Canales, ranked 23rd in the country and third in the Central Region, has a 70.9 scoring average. The sophomore from La Porte, Texas won the first tournament of the season at Mules National and finished tied for first at the Regional Championship last week before losing a playoff. He's also finished second, third, seventh, and eighth in other events this season.

Bostick, a sophomore from Duncan, Oklahoma, is a little further back in the rankings at 63rd, but is still up there with the other regional champion teammates at sixth in the Central Region. Bostick has a 71.6 scoring average through 25 rounds of golf. He finished second in Houston in February and third at the MIAA Championships last month in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Paciotti, a junior from Katy, Texas, has played 29 rounds of golf for the Bronchos this season and has a 73.0 scoring average. Paciotti finished fourth twice this season, at the final fall event and the first spring event.

Henderson is available as a sub for the Bronchos and can be put in the lineup before a round begins. This season, the senior from Ontario, Canada has a 73.1 scoring average through 25 rounds of golf.

Central Oklahoma will play 18 Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, aiming to return to match play for the second year in a row.
