EDMOND – Central Oklahoma ran away with its second home win in as many games with a 92-60 blowout of Missouri Western Saturday afternoon in an MIAA game at Hamilton Field House.

UCO improved to 14-9 on the season with the win and the Bronchos are now 8-6 in the MIAA.

"The guys did a great job of coming out in the second half and turning the game around," UCO head men's basketball coach Bob Hoffman said. "It was really tight in the first half, but we did a good job of getting stops and turning those into baskets."

Central Oklahoma and Missouri Western traded five leads in the first eight minutes, but after the visiting Griffons took a 21-18 lead, the Bronchos rallied and took the lead for good.

It was the start of the second half that turned the tide though. The Bronchos took 42-36 lead into halftime, then opened the second half on a 10-0 run. UCO later had a 16-0 run that spanned less than four minutes in the middle part of the half.

With 9:19 remaining in the game, Central Oklahoma had outscored MWSU 30-5 in the second half and took a commanding 72-41 lead.

Luke Haasl led UCO with 15 points on 5 of 8 shooting. He was one of five Bronchos in double figures. Parker Hannah (14), Jacobi Sebock (13), JV Seat (12), and Israel Hart (11) joined Haasl.

Preston Aymond scored eight points off the bench. Jordan Thompson and Ben Averitt both scored seven points. Caiden Punt (three) and Jarreth Ingram (two) also scored.
