Central Oklahoma Jumps To No. 13 In NFCA Poll

Bronchos Move 12 Spots In First Regular Season Coaches' Poll

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Central Oklahoma jumped up 12 spots in the first National Fastpitch Coaches Association Top 25, it was announced Tuesday.
 
The Bronchos are now No. 13 in the country after starting the first two weeks of the season 7-1. UCO opened with five straight wins before its only setback.
 
Central Oklahoma has three Top 25 wins already this season. The Bronchos beat preseason No. 4 Lenoir Rhyne to open the season in Alabama. LRU is ranked 17th this week. UCO also beat No. 6 Auburn Montgomery, which is now the No. 2 team in the country. The Bronchos most recently beat No. 20 Southern Nazarene, which dropped out of the rankings this week.
 
UCO is scheduled to host the Raising Cane's Softball Festival in conjunction with SNU and Oklahoma Baptist this weekend, with 14 teams competing at four locations Friday – Sunday. The Bronchos are scheduled to play Arkansas Tech and Southwestern Oklahoma State on Friday, Southeastern Oklahoma State and Southern Arkansas on Saturday, and then finally Rockhurst on Sunday.
