Central Student-Athletes Honored By D2ADA

More Than 80 UCO Student-Athletes Recognized For Work In The Classroom

CLEVELAND – The Division 2 Athletics Directors Association announced the 2023-24 recipients of the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Awards and Central Oklahoma was well represented among the honorees.

The Academic Achievement Awards, in its 17th year, is a program that recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the Division II level. To qualify, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher, must have attended a minimum of two years or four semesters, and must have been an active member of their respective team this past 2023-24 year.

Central Oklahoma had 83 student-athletes honored for their work in the classroom. There were a total of 794 student-athletes recognized from the MIAA, with UCO's 83 ranking fifth among those institutions. At Central, student-athletes from 13 of UCO's 14 varsity sports were included among the honorees.
