Weather Alters Hoops Schedule

Central Oklahoma Playing Two Hours Earlier In Hays, Kansas

HAYS, Kan. – Central Oklahoma's Saturday afternoon basketball games at Fort Hays State University have been moved up two hours due to this weekend's winter storm.
 
The women's game will now tipoff at 12 p.m. from Gross Memorial Coliseum and the men's game will follow at 2 p.m.
 
The UCO women's team is 7-11 this season with a 2-7 record in the MIAA. The Bronchos are set to take on the No. 5 team in the country Saturday in Fort Hays State (17-1, 8-1 MIAA). Central is searching for its first win in the series since February 2020.
 
The Broncho men's team is 12-9 on the year with a 5-4 record in league play. UCO is set to take on a Fort Hays squad that is receiving votes in the latest NABC coaches' poll. The Tigers are 14-4 overall and 6-3 in the MIAA. These two squads have battled nearly even over the last several years with UCO owning a 6-4 advantage in the last 10 meetings.
 
Both UCO hoops programs will be in Edmond next week. The Bronchos host Newman on Wednesday, Jan. 28 and Emporia State on Saturday, Jan. 31 at Hamilton Field House.
