Keeton Peery Joins Women's Hoops Staff

Central Alum Returns To Campus As Assistant Women's Basketball Coach

EDMOND – Central Oklahoma women's basketball head coach Emma Andrews announced the addition of assistant coach Keeton Peery to her staff ahead of the 2024-25 season.

Peery comes to UCO from Regis University in Denver, Colorado.

"Keeton is a really hard worker, and he brings a lot of energy," Andrews said. "I think he's going to be a great addition. He comes from a winning program at Regis, but he's worked for some successful coaches before that too. He brings a different perspective and we're excited to get to the new season and get going."

Peery has two degrees from Central Oklahoma, graduating with a bachelor's degree in public relations and a master's degree in exercise science.

Originally from Lindsay, Oklahoma, Peery has worked with the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Oklahoma Christian basketball programs, and with his certifications in strength & conditioning, Oklahoma Baptist and Washington High School through Performance Course. Peery also worked at Oklahoma Christian Academy in Edmond, coaching both basketball and golf programs at the local high school.

Peery helped Oklahoma Christian as student-athletes earned 11 all-conference honors and one All-American award. He coached the Lone Star Conference Freshman of the Year and the Heartland Conference Player of the Year. OC

In one season at Regis, Peery helped the Rangers win the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference championship. Regis went 26-6 last season and earned the No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament's South Central Region. He coached four all-conference selections and one All-American.

Peery is joined back at UCO with his family, wife Alana, and two children, Evan and Julia.

Central Oklahoma went 8-20 last season. It was the first time since 2012-13 the Bronchos did not make the postseason.
