UCO Basketball Tips Off With Intrasquad Scrimmage

Blue Squad Outpaces Bronze Team In 30-Minute Exhibition

EDMOND – Central Oklahoma men's basketball hosted an intrasquad scrimmage Sunday afternoon at Hamilton Field House, showcasing its squad as the 2024-25 season nears tipoff.
 
The Blue team outpaced the Bronze, 67-57, in the 30-minute exhibition. The teams played a 20-minute first half before a 10-minute second half.
 
"We're excited to get started and thankful for the fans that came out to see us today," UCO head men's basketball coach Bob Hoffman said. "It was competitive, which makes me think we've got a pretty good squad. We're looking forward to getting started in two weeks and we hope everyone will come out and support the guys."
 
Jacobi Sebock led all scorers with 20 points on 10 of 15 shooting. The Midwest City native and junior transfer from Queens (N.C.) also had six rebounds to lead the Blue squad.
 
Jarreth Ingram poured in 14 points on 6 of 9 shooting as the sophomore from Skiatook hit a pair of 3-pointers. Matthew Willenborg and JV Seat both scored 10 points and Jordan Thompson added nine. Connor Newton finished with three points and three assists and Trey Tuck added one point.
 
For the Bronze team, Caiden Punt led the way. The sophomore from Fort Worth, Texas scored 18 points on 8 of 14 shooting and pulled down a game-high eight rebounds. Luke Haasl added 11 points and six boards with one blocked shot. Parker Hannah also scored 11 points and hit a team-high three 3-pointers.
 
Chase Sucharda added six points, Israel Hart and Ben Averitt scored four each, and Jack Robinson added five.
 
Central Oklahoma opens the 2024-25 season Nov. 8-9 in Edmond. The Bronchos are hosting a regional challenge and will play Mary (N.D). and Northwestern Oklahoma State while Northeastern State and will also be in Edmond to play the same two opponents.
