More Than Two Dozen Football Players Honored For Academics

Central Oklahoma Has 25 Student-Athletes On MIAA Honor Roll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Central Oklahoma's football team saw more than two dozen honored for academics this week as the MIAA announced its fall sports academic awards.

UCO had 25 student-athletes named to the MIAA Honor Roll, which recognizes student-athletes that carry a 3.0 grade point average and that have two semesters of college completed. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible and will be recognized this summer following the 2023-24 academic year.
 
Central Oklahoma also had one student-athlete, Payton Scott, earn the MIAA's prestigious Academic Excellence Award for carrying a 4.0 GPA. Additionally, Layne Grantham and Oscar Hammond were both recognized as MIAA Scholar Athletes for having both a 3.5 GPA and an All-MIAA honor on the field.
