Bronchos Sign Seven For 2023-24

Central Oklahoma Has Won 50 Games In Last Two Seasons

EDMOND – Central Oklahoma men's basketball announced seven new standouts are on campus and ready to bolster the Broncho lineup this winter.

"We were fortunate to have a really good signing class," UCO head men's basketball coach Bob Hoffman said. "There's a mix of talent from different positions. They'll all help us in their own way and we're looking forward to getting practice started and seeing what each of them can do."

Evan Barber, Parker Hannah, Jarreth Ingram, Majok Majouk, Connor Newton, Caiden Punt, and Matthew Willenborg will all be putting on a Broncho uniform in 2023-24.

Barber is coming to UCO from Westmoore High School, where he earned multiple all-conference honors for the Jaguars and scored more than 1,000 career points. A 6-foot-2 guard, Barber led Westmoore to the Class 6A area tournament this past season.

Hannah is coming to Central from Keller, Texas, where he led a standout career at Keller High. Also a 6-2 guard, Hannah was a two-time all-district selection and averaged over 15 points per game leading his team to two district titles.

Ingram is coming to UCO from Tulsa, where he produced big numbers at Tulsa Memorial. The 6-foot-8 big man averaged 17 points and 10 rebounds per game and was named District MVP. He led the Chargers to the 2022 state championship and was named All-Tournament Team following the title.

Majouk is the lone transfer here to help the Bronchos. He comes to UCO from Southwest Minnesota State where he played last season. Originally from Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, Majouk played 27 games and made 14 starts as a redshirt freshman a year ago. He averaged 6.9 points per game and 4.8 rebounds per game and was seventh in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference with 29 blocked shots.

Newton is also coming up from the state of Texas out of Denton, where he attended Denton Guyer. The 5-foot-7 guard with a high motor earned multiple all-district honors and averaged 11 points per game, while sinking more than 100 3-pointers.

Punt, a 6-foot-7 versatile swingman, comes to UCO from Fort Worth, Texas. He was a standout at Boswell High School and averaged more than 17 points and 10 rebounds per game while earning postseason honors.

Willenborg, also 6-foot-7, is from Norman. He played at Norman High and was twice an all-conference selection. He averaged 9.8 points and 8.6 rebounds while also adding two blocks and two assists per game as a senior.

Central Oklahoma has won 50 games over the past two seasons, qualifying for the NCAA Division II national tournament in both 2022 and 2023. The Bronchos also won an MIAA title in 2022.

UCO opens the 2023-24 season this November in Florida. The Bronchos will play three home games in November and have 13 home dates this season as part of their 30-game schedule.
