Bronchos Obliterate OC

OKLAHOMA CITY – Central Oklahoma scored a season-high 26 runs in a complete thrashing of Oklahoma Christian Tuesday night in a non-conference game.

The Bronchos scored runs in each of the first six innings and put up six runs in both the second and third innings to take command early on their way to the victory. The 26 runs scored Tuesday are tied for fourth-most in one game in school history.
 
On top of the offensive onslaught, Central Oklahoma also took a no-hitter into the fifth inning.
 
Aiden Bagwell started the game and allowed one unearned run in two innings, striking out two batters. Bradan Pierce recorded one out in the third before Jase Farmer came on, striking out five in 1 2/3 innings. Brandon Gomez got two outs in the fifth before Oklahoma Christian finally recorded their first hit of the game.
 
James Wambold, Jacob Savage and Caleb Ebert all made appearances before UCO earned the run-rule victory.
 
All nine Bronchos in the starting lineup recorded a hit and did so by the second inning. Seth Gray, Orlando Gonzalez, and Austin Lambert all had three hits in the game. Jaden Parsons, Noah Olson, Camden Thrailkill, Landen Wood, Matt Baughn, and Shea Morrison all had two hits.
 
UCO also had 13 extra-base hits. Parsons, Gray, Uselton, Lambert, Wood and Baughn (twice) all hit doubles. Olson hit two triples and Morrison hit one. Gonzalez and Lambert both hit home runs.
 
Central Oklahoma is back in Edmond for a weekend MIAA series against Washburn. The Bronchos begin the three-game conference series Thursday night at Wendell Simmons Field and will also play Friday and Saturday ahead of the Easter holiday.
