UCO Remains Fourth In National Rankings

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (April 11) -- Central Oklahoma kept its position in this week's National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II rankings, staying at No. 4 in the poll that was released Tuesday.

The top five teams all remained the same in balloting of 16 head coaches from around the country. North Georgia is No. 1, followed by Tampa, Texas-Tyler, the Bronchos and Alabama-Huntsville.

It marks UCO's 17th consecutive appearance in the top 10 and the 36th straight week in the top 25.

The Bronchos are one of three Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association teams in rankings. Defending national champion Rogers State came in at No. 8 and Washburn is 20th.

UCO, 30-5 on the season and 12-2 in the league, goes on the road for a pair of conference doubleheaders this weekend. The Bronchos travel to Tahlequah Friday to meet Northeastern State in a 4 p.m. twinbill before moving on to Claremore the next day for a noon showdown against Rogers.
