No. 13 UCO Crushes SNU

BETHANY, Okla. – No. 13 Central Oklahoma took the weekend off but showed no signs of slowing down in a 14-4 rout of Southern Nazarene on Tuesday afternoon in a non-conference matchup.

UCO improved to 8-2 on the season with the win – its second over SNU this month.

"The guys did a good job with their approach early," UCO head baseball coach John Martin said. "We talked about how important it was to start off strong and they did that. They did a good job playing all nine innings. It's good to get a win and now we can focus on the next one."

Central Oklahoma scored five runs in the top of the first inning, playing its first road game of the 2023 season Tuesday afternoon. The Bronchos had a 7-2 lead after two and had a chance to end it early leading 13-2 going to the bottom of the seventh inning. SNU extended the game with a couple of runs before the Bronchos settled on the 14-4 victory.
