Registration Opens For Skipper Classic

EDMOND (Aug. 1) – Registration is now open for the Eighth Annual Skipper Classic, which is set for Wednesday, Oct. 5 at the Golf Club of Edmond.

Entry fee is $160 per person and includes lunch, range balls, player gifts and 18 holes at the beautiful Golf Club of Edmond. Registration and lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 5, with a shotgun start set at1 p.m. for the unique two-person scramble tournament. Entries are accepted as an individual, two-person team or foursome (two two-person teams).

Prizes will be awarded the top three teams in three flights and there will also be putting, long drive and closest to the pin contests held during tournament play.

There are also plenty of sponsorship opportunities available.

The Skipper raises funds to support the UCO Athletic Department and honors former longtime athletic director and men's golf coach Skip Wagnon, who passed away in 2015.

Wagnon served as Central's athletic director from 1986-2003. He was also head of the alumni association and the head athletic trainer for prior to that and served as the men's golf coach as well.
