UCO Finishes 30th In Learfield Director's Cup Standings

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Central Oklahoma finished 30th in the 2021-22 Learfield Director's Cup, the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) announced Thursday.

Central Oklahoma was 30th out of more than 250 NCAA Division II institutions. Points are awarded based on a school's programs making the national tournament. NACDA counts 15 programs per school, with women's volleyball, women's basketball, men's basketball and baseball, plus the next best 11 programs.

The Bronchos were the fourth-best MIAA school, with Central Missouri (eighth), Washburn (21st), and Nebraska Kearney (25th) in front of Central. Northwest Missouri was also right behind UCO at 35th.
 
UCO had representation in the national postseason field in each season – Fall, Winter, Spring.
 
Central Oklahoma's women's soccer team made the NCAA Division II national tournament this Fall. The men's basketball team made nationals this Winter. UCO's wrestling team also made a national tournament appearance and finished national runners-up.
 
In the Spring, softball, tennis, rowing, men's golf and women's golf all made national tournament appearances. The UCO tennis team joined the wrestling program with a national runner-up performance. The rowing team finished fifth nationally, and the softball team made an appearance in the NCAA Super Regionals, which goes on record as a tie for ninth nationally.
