Isaiah Wade Named To Prestigious Watch List

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - University of Central Oklahoma men's basketball senior standout Isaiah Wade has been named to the Small College Basketball's Bevo Francis Watch List Top 100.

The Clarence "Bevo" Francis Award is presented annually to the player who has had the finest overall season within Small College Basketball.

Wade leads Central Oklahoma, currently ranked No. 22 in the country, as the Bronchos have reached the halfway point of the 2021-22 season. UCO is 14-2 overall and has a 9-1 record in the MIAA.

Wade leads UCO in several categories. He averages a team-high 19.1 points per game and 8.5 rebounds per game. He shoots a team-best 60 percent from the field. He ranks among the best in not only the MIAA but also in the country in each of those three categories.

Wade has scored in double figures in 13 of 15 games played this season. He's scored at least 20 points seven times this season and had a season-high 29 points at Nebraska Kearney last month. Wade also has posted four double-doubles this season and had a season-high 16 rebounds against Mary (N.D.) in November.

Central Oklahoma is in Missouri this weekend taking on Lincoln. The Bronchos are scheduled to face No. 2 ranked Northwest Missouri at Hamilton Field House this Thursday. NWMSU, which is also the defending national champions in Division II, had two players named to the list Saturday.
