Central Oklahoma Enters National Rankings

Bronchos Are Now Ranked In Both Coaches' and Media Polls

The University of Central Oklahoma men's basketball team made its long-awaited return to the national rankings Tuesday, with the Bronchos coming in at No. 22 in the NABC Top 25 and No. 24 in the D2SIDA Top 25.

Central Oklahoma is 13-2 this season, with an 8-1 record in MIAA play. The Bronchos have won nine in a row since then and all have been by at least 10 points, with an average margin of victory of 17.4 points during the streak.
 
UCO is the highest scoring team in the MIAA and leads the conference in several areas. The Bronchos average 84.5 points per game.
 
Central also leads the league in field goals made (444), free-throws made (242) and free-throws attempted (308). UCO leads the MIAA in rebounding at 37.6 boards per game. The Bronchos also have the best assist-turnover ratio in the league at 1.48, with Central's 17.6 assists per game the best rate in the conference.
 
UCO's only loss since Thanksgiving came on a tip-in with 0.4 seconds remaining in a game last month.
 
The Bronchos are scheduled to play at Central Missouri on Thursday night in Warrensburg before facing off against Lincoln on Saturday afternoon in Jefferson City, Mo.
