Bronchos Drop Series Opener

WARRENSBURG, Mo. - The University of Central Oklahoma baseball team dropped the series opener at Central Missouri Saturday, 6-0.

Central Oklahoma only managed one hit in the game and that came from Chase Freeman, who had a one-out single in the top of the third. 

Luke Anderson got the start for the Bronchos and surrendered six runs in 6 2/3 innings of work. He allowed nine hits and three walks. Anderson struck out five batters.

Central Missouri scored twice in the second, once in the third, and three times in the fourth to get a 6-0 lead. 

Lawson Isaacs came on for Anderson in the bottom of the seventh. He threw the last 1 1/3 innings, retiring each of the last four batters for UCM. 

Game 2 of the three-game MIAA series is scheduled for later Saturday afternoon. The third game is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday.
