UCO Topples Eagles In Five Sets

OKLAHOMA CITY (Feb. 28) – Five players knocked down at least eight kills to lead Central Oklahoma past Oklahoma Christian Sunday afternoon at the Eagles Nest.
 
The Bronchos prevailed in the five-set thriller 25-18, 25-22, 22-25, 13-25, 15-9.
 
Lauren Jenkins led UCO's balanced attack with 13 kills and added three blocks. Courtney Lane and Alycia Bradley-Adriano had nine kills apiece, with Lane also contributing 11 digs and three blocks.
 
Mallory Hendrix handled the bulk of Central's setter duties and piled up 26 assists to go with 11 digs and eight kills. Daria Peixe De Carvalho chipped in eight kills and Nalani McCrary seven.
 
Jaedynn Evans led the defensive effort with 39 digs.
 
The Bronchos return to the court Friday, hosting Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association rival Central Missouri at 6 p.m.
