EDMOND – The sixth annual Skipper Golf Tournament is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 7 at KickingBird Golf Course and registration is now open.
Entry fee is $160 per person and includes lunch, range balls, player gifts and 18 holes at the beautiful KickingBird Golf Course. Tournament format is a two-person scramble and entries are accepted as an individual, two-person team and foursome (two two-person teams).
Prizes will be awarded the top three teams in three flights and there will also be putting, long drive and closest to the pin contests held during tournament play.
Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 7, with lunch starting at noon and a shotgun start at 1 p.m.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Presenting sponsor, meal sponsor, contest sponsors, flight sponsors, and tee sponsors are all available.
The Skipper raises funds to support the UCO Athletic Department and honors former longtime athletic director and men's golf coach Skip Wagnon, who passed away in 2015.
Wagnon served as Central's athletic director from 1986-2003. He was also head of the alumni association and the head athletic trainer for prior to that and served as the men's golf coach as well.
