Former Broncho Continuing Professional Career In Australia

Jarred Bairstow Played At Central From 2014-16

PERTH, Australia – Former University of Central Oklahoma men's basketball player Jarred Bairstow has agreed to terms on a new contract to continue his professional basketball career overseas.
 
Bairstow, who spent 2014-16 at Central, agreed to terms with the Perth Wildcats of the National Basketball League, the team announced Wednesday.

Bairstow came to UCO from Australia. He played for the Brisbane Capitals of the Queensland Basketball League and then entered Central as a sophomore during the 2013-14 season. Although not eligible to begin right away, he played in 11 games that season and made nine starts. In 2014-15 he played in all 30 games for the Bronchos and made seven starts. Bairstow would play in all 30 games again, this time starting 24 games, for UCO in 2015-16.
 
In three seasons, Bairstow played in 71 games, and averaged 6.9 points per game and 4.2 rebounds per game.
 
Bairstow played last summer for Brisbane again, averaging 20.9 points per game, 10.6 rebounds per game, and 4.6 assists per game to go with 1.3 steals per game. Brisbane won the QBL title and Bairstow earned First Team All-Australian QBL.
