LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 8) -- Central Oklahoma was the near unanimous No. 1 pick in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II poll that was released Wednesday morning.
The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association regular-season and tournament champion Bronchos, 45-5 on the season, collected 15 of 16 first-place votes in balloting of coaches from around the country and finished with 399 points in the final regular season poll. West Florida received the remaining first-place vote and was second in the rankings, followed by Texas &M-Kingsville, Florida Tech and North Georgia.

It's the third straight week for UCO to top the national rankings. The Bronchos start national tournament play this week, hosting the Central Regional I Tournament Thursday with a 2:30 p.m. first-round game against Minnesota-Duluth.
