UCO Continues Homestand Tuesday

Streaking Central Oklahoma continues a 14-game homestand and takes a break from conference play Tuesday when the Bronchos host intrastate rival Rogers State for a doubleheader.

First pitch is 1 p.m. and UCO will play at renovated Broncho Field on campus for the first time this season.

The Bronchos are riding a nine-game winning streak and are 17-7 on the season.  UCO has won 31 straight home games, the last 11 of those -- three last year, eight this season -- at Edmond North High School.

The Wildcats are 4-18 for the year, with one of those wins a 6-3 victory over the Bronchos on Feb. 21 at the 8-State Classic in Bentonville, Ark.

UCO is hitting .350 as a team while aveaging 5.7 runs a game.

Kaylee Brunson leads the way with a .419 average and 22 stolen bases.  Devyn Frazier and Ally Dziadula are both hitting .387, with Dziadula adding a team-high 22 runs batted in.

The Bronchos have a team earned run average of 1.74 and are giving up just 2.3 runs a game.

Kalynn Schrock paces the staff with an 11-4 record and 1.36 ERA, having struck out 106 batters in 87 1/3 innings.  Nicole Brady is 2-0 with a 1.86 ERA and Amanda McClelland 4-3 with a 2.49 ERA.

UCO returns to Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association play this weekend with back-to-back doubleheaders, hosting Nebraska-Kearney Friday and Fort Hays State Saturday.
