Bronchos Sign Three More

EDMOND – Central Oklahoma has added three football players to its roster for next year, signing another state high school standout in addition to gaining two junior college transfers.

Joining the Bronchos will be defensive back Rico Hogan of Norman High School, running back Delans Griffin of Northeastern Oklahoma A&M and defensive tackle Ryland Widener of Hutchinson Community College.

Hogan (5-11, 168) was an All-District, All-Conference and Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State selection at Norman last fall after making 31 tackles with five interceptions and seven pass break-ups.  He added 26 catches for 383 yards and three touchdowns as a receiver.

Griffin (5-10, 195) played the past two years at perennial junior college powerhouse NEO after a stellar prep career at Clinton High School.  He rushed for 3,712 yards and 57 touchdowns at Clinton and was named one of the top 25 running backs in the country by SuperPrep Magazine as a senior.

Widener (6-1, 300) was an All-District and Oklahoman All-Big City pick as a senior at Southmoore High School after collecting 85 tackles with six forced fumbles and two sacks.  He spent one year at Northern Colorado and was at Hutchinson last year, but has yet to play and will have three years eligibility with the Bronchos.
