KANSAS CITY, Mo. (March 17) – Central Oklahoma's Dauntae Williams was selected to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) first-team South Central Region All-District team, it was announced Wednesday.

The team is voted on by member coaches of the NABC, with the 88 first- and second-team all-district selections now eligible for the State Farm Coaches' Division II All-America teams.

Williams, a junior guard from Missouri City, Texas, was named to the Daktronics All-South Central Region team last week after earlier being selected as the Lone Star Conference North Division Player of the Year.

Joining Williams on the six-player first-team unit were Sanijay Watts and Alex Moosmann of Central Missouri, LaMarshall Corbett of Angelo State, Craig Green of Midwestern State and Jason Jones of Northeastern State.

Williams enjoyed a dominating season, averaging 19.9 points, 7.8 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 2.4 steals a game while shooting 56.9 percent from the field, 38.5 percent from 3-point range and 71.8 percent from the line.

He was selected LSC North Division Player of the Week seven times, claiming the defensive award four times and the offensive honor three times.  Williams finished fifth in steals (71), sixth in assists (158) and 13th in points (576) on UCO's single-season lists and he had two triple-doubles, the first for the Bronchos since 1991.

UCO finished 22-7 while winning a third straight Lone Star Conference North Division title and making a third straight appearance in the NCAA Division II national tournament.
