Biography

Senior star who ranks as one of the top players in the Lone Star Conference . . . Incredible athlete with superb leaping ability and an explosive offensive force at outside hitter . . . Also a fine defender at the net with her blocking ability . . . Had an immediate impact with the Bronchos last season despite a three-year layoff and should be even better this fall . . . Started at Houston as a redshirt freshman in 2005, but left the team before the next season and didn’t play again until coming to UCO last year.

2009:  Stepped in as a starter from the outset and went on to enjoy a stellar junior campaign . . . Was a first-team All-LSC selection and the LSC Newcomer of the Year in addition to earning second-team Daktronics All-South Central Region honors . . . Made the all-tournament team at the Midwestern State Invitational and the LSC Tournament . . . Hit a solid .234 in finishing with 382 kills while adding 205 digs, 78 total blocks and 19 service aces . . . Tied for fourth in the league in points per set (3.57) and tied for sixth in kills per set (3.03) . . . Had 19 matches with 10-plus kills, including nine with 15 or more . . . Averaged 17.8 kills an outing the last 10 matches of the season, collecting 20-plus kills in four of those contests . . . Had a season-high 27 kills in win over Texas Woman’s, with other 20-kill matches coming against Newman (25) and Texas A&M-Commerce (21 twice) . . . Hit .300 or better in 13 matches, capped by a .552 effort (16 kills and no errors in 29 attacks) against Arkansas-Fort Smith . . . Had 10-plus digs in seven matches, with a season-high 14 coming in win over Midwestern State . . . Made four or more total blocks in nine contests, capped by an eight-block performance (three solo, five assisted) against East Central.

Houston:  Redshirted in 2004 before starting most of the 2005 season, finishing fourth on the team in kills with 160 . . . Ranked second in hitting percentage (.248) and was third in total blocks (79) for the Cougars . . . Had a season-best 12 kills with a .421 attack percentage against Southern Methodist and registered a season-high eight blocks against College of Charleston . . . Hit .667 with 11 kills in first-round win over SMU in the Conference USA Tournament.

High School:  Three-sport star at Trinity High School in Euless, Texas . . . All-District and All-State performer in volleyball while earning All-Region honors in basketball and finishing as a track state runner-up in the triple jump.

Personal:  A marketing major . . . Has a son (Caleb) . . . Birthdate is Oct. 19, 1985.
