Biography
Sophomore letterwinner returning from injury who should be one of the top outside hitters this fall . . . Excellent athlete with a wide range of skills eager to get back on the court . . . Picked up valuable experience last year before injury and will definitely be a factor in 2012.
2011: Had an immediate impact in earning a starting spot for the season opener and played in the first 18 matches with 15 starts before missing the last 15 contests . . . Ended up with 109 kills, 181 digs, 17 total blocks and 12 service aces, averaging 1.65 kills per set . . . Had two double-digit kill matches, both coming the same day against Fort Hays State (11) and Southwest Baptist (12) . . . Made a season-high 31 digs in the FHSU tilt and had six other matches with 10-plus digs . . . Had a pair of three-ace outings.
High School: Four-sport standout at Boswell High School in Fort Worth, Texas, lettering four times in volleyball, basketball, softball and track and earning Academic All-District honors in each sport all four years . . . Four-time All-District pick in volleyball, claiming Setter of the Year honors as a junior and Hitter of the Year accolades as a senior . . . Also a four-year All-District pick in softball and two-time All-District selection in basketball . . . Qualified for the regional track meet twice.
Personal: Kinesiology major looking for a career as a physical therapist or coach . . . Father (Charles) played college football at Baldwin-Wallace . . . Names the Texas Rangers as her favorite professional team . . . Birthdate is Dec. 2, 1992.
