Biography
Senior star and one of the finest players in NCAA Division II . . . Enters her third year as the starting setter and is already fourth on UCO’s career assists list with 3,190 . . . 2015: Earned a myriad of post-season honors in helping lead the Bronchos to a 31-5 record, the MIAA regular season title and the second round of the Division II national tournament . . . First-team All-MIAA selection after leading the league and ranking eighth nationally in total assists with 1,444 . . . Also earned first-team All-Central Region honors and honorable mention All-America acclaim from the American Volleyball Coaches Association . . . Added 271 digs, 43 total blocks and 42 kills . . . Had 18 matches with 40-plus assists, including three with more than 50 . . . Earned MIAA Specialist of the Week honors four times this season . . . Collected career-high 66 assists in come-from-behind five-set win at Lindenwood . . . Had 55 assists and seven digs in five-set regular season win over Nebraska-Kearney . . . Had 10 matches with double-digit digs, collecting career-high 17 to go with 49 assists in five-set win over Washburn that gave UCO the regular season league title . . . First-team selection on the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team and also an MIAA Scholar-Athlete pick . . . Was named UCO’s Female Student-Athlete of the Year.
2014: Started all 33 matches, leading the team with 1,361 assists en route to garnering first-team All-MIAA honors . . . Had season-best 56 assists against both Southwest Baptist and Pittsburg State . . . Averaged 11.53 assists per set to rank 12th in the nation and was 15th in total assists . . . Recorded season-high three blocks against Central Missouri . . . Led the team with 118 sets played . . . Earned the MIAA Scholar-Athlete Award.
2013: Appeared in 31 matches with 20 starts, finishing with 385 assists and 195 digs . . . Saw extensive action at setter early in the season before moving into more of a defensive role during the second half . . . Had five matches with 30-plus assists, with a high of 38 against Oklahoma City . . . Collected 10-plus digs five times with a high of 14 in early-season win over Southern Nazarene . . . Also had 14 service aces, notching two on three occasions.
High School: Set single-season and career assist records at Free State High School in Lawrence . . . Two-time All-Sunflower League selection and also earned Journal World All-Area honors twice . . . Also lettered in softball and track.
Personal: Kinesiology major and member of President’s Honor Roll every semester at UCO who is looking for a career as a chiropractor . . .
