Biography
Returning starter ready to be a ringleader at middle blocker again this season . . . Stepped into a starting role from the outset last year and enjoyed a fabulous freshman campaign as an offensive and defensive force at the net . . . Experience and success of last year should help boost this sophomore to an even higher level in 2012.
2011: Started 31 of 33 matches, leading the team in hitting percentage (.227) while finishing second in total blocks (77) and third in kills (274) to make the Independents Collegiate Athletic Association All-Freshman Team . . . Had 10-plus kills in 12 matches, including a string of four straight early in the season . . . Collected a season-high 16 kills in five-set win over St. Mary's . . . Hit a season-best .632 in sweep of Harding with 14 kills and just two errors in 19 attacks . . . Made six-plus blocks four times and had at least one block in 28 matches.
High School: All-State and Academic All-State pick along with a Fort Worth Star-Telegram Super Team selection as a senior at Aledo (Texas) High School . . . Earned All-District 4A-6 honors four straight years and was chosen MVP her final season . . . Also lettered in soccer and track.
Personal: Nursing major and member of UCO Dean's Honor Roll . . . Enjoys photography among her hobbies . . . Names the Oklahoma City Thunder and Dallas Cowboys as her favorite professional teams . . . Birthdate is Sept. 15, 1992.
