High School:  Team captain at Needville High School last year, topping the Blue Jays in blocks (189) and service aces (68) while hitting .259 . . . Also led the team in assisted blocks as a junior with 199 for regional runner-up team . . . Two-time All-District player and also earned Academic All-District honors twice . . . Three-year track standout as well in the 200-meter dash, 800 relay and triple jump.
