University of Central Oklahoma Athletics

Sam Helmick Schwarzmiller joined the University of Central Oklahoma rowing program as a graduate assistant rowing coach in 2020, helping guide the nation's top program to a third straight national championship.

Schwarzmiller works with coaching both Varsity and Novice athletes at Central.

Previously, she was an assistant coach for the Olympic Peninsula Rowing Association.

Schwarzmiller graduated from Southern Methodist in 2019, earning a bachelor of arts in International Studies. She also minored in Human Rights and History.

Schwarzmiller competed with the Oklahoma City summer high performance program in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
