The University of Central Oklahoma announced the addition of Hannah Malzahn as its new assistant rowing coach in September of 2019.

Malzahn comes to UCO from Yale, where she spent the previous three seasons as a coxswain for the Bulldogs of New Haven, Connecticut. There she earned All-Ivy League honors while leading the Varsity 8+ boat to medalist finishes in the Ivy League Championship, and a top-four finish at the Henley Royal Regatta. She helped Yale finish eighth nationally this past spring.

Malzahn, who received her bachelor's degree in May, helped coach the U.S. Rowing U18 High Performance Rowing Camp that competed at club nationals in 2019.

Originally from Edmond, Malzahn began rowing at a young age with OKC Riversport. Before heading to college, she won a bronze medal in 2015 at the Junior World Championships and also had top-four finishes in 2012, 2013, and 2014 at the prominent Head of the Charles. She attended Tennessee before transferring to Yale.
