Sophomore big man who provides size and bulk inside . . . Had an immediate impact as a true freshman last year and should really benefit from that experience and success in 2008-09 . . . Has a soft shooting touch and is a fierce competitor in tough battles underneath the basket . . . Will continue to be an inside defensive force and is looking to be more of an offensive threat as well.

2007-08:  Started in his first-ever college contest and went on to play in all 34 games with 16 starts . . . Picked up honorable mention All-Lone Star Conference North Division and LSC North co-Freshman of the Year honors after averaging 10.2 points and 4.5 rebounds a game . . . Shot a solid 52.6 percent from the field -- second-best on the team -- and 73.9 percent from the line . . . Netted 11.8 points a game in LSC North Division play . . . Had a clutch South Central Regional performance in helping lead UCO to its first Elite Eight appearance since 1992, averaging 12.3 points and 5.0 rebounds while shooting 66.7 percent (12-of-18) from the field and 92.9 percent (13-of-14) from the line in UCO’s three-game run to the title . . . Scored a team-high 15 points and pulled down seven boards in 65-64 first-round win over Fort Hays State . . . Had 10 points and six rebounds in the semifinals and hit 5-of-7 shots in scoring 12 points during last-second finals win over Tarleton State . . . Played at least 10 minutes in every game and had 22 double-figure scoring games to his credit, including one stretch of 14 straight . . . Scored a career-high 18 points in early-season win over Oklahoma Christian, hitting 7-of-12 shots and adding seven rebounds . . . Pulled down a career-best eight rebounds in back-to-back games . . . Hit at least 60 percent of his shots in 13 games.

High School:  Averaged 18 points and nine rebounds a game as a senior in leading powerhouse McGuinness High School to its second straight state championship . . . Picked up All-District, Oklahoman Big All-City and All-State honors . . . Also a football standout for the Irish.

Personal:  An art major . . . Brother (Muyi) played for the Bronchos from 2003-05 . . . Enjoys drawing and playing the piano in his spare time . . . Birthdate is June 21, 1988.
