Biography
Versatile junior eager to get back in the lineup after missing the final six games of last season to injury . . . Has started most of the past two years and has the most UCO experience on the roster with 36 starts in 49 games played . . . Superb athlete with great agility who can really attack the basket and also a strong rebounder . . . Will once again push for a starting berth and can be a big-time force on the court for the Bronchos . . . Spent four years after high school playing minor league baseball for the Houston Astros organization before coming to UCO and then missed the 2013-14 season to injury.
2015-16: Played in the first 24 games, starting the last 18, before going out with an injury that shelved him for the final six contests . . . Netted 10.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists a game while shooting a solid 49.2 percent from the field . . . Had 14 games with 10-plus points, including nine with at least 15 . . . Pulled down seven-plus rebounds five times . . . Scored season-high 20 points in win over Oklahoma City, hitting 5-of-9 shots with a pair of 3-pointers and 8-of-13 free throws . . . Had 15 points and a career-best 15 rebounds against Southern Nazarene . . . Also had a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards in win over Southeastern Oklahoma . . . Shot at least 60 percent from the field in seven games . . . Was named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
2014-15: Averaged 9.7 points and 3.7 rebounds a game while starting in 18 of 25 games played, missing five contests to injury . . . Scored in double figures 14 times, including a pair of 20-point outings . . . Made 6-of-11 shots and 9-of-13 free throws in career-best 21-point game against Oklahoma City and had 20 points in win over Lindenwood while making 7-of-9 field goals with three 3-pointers . . . Averaged 14.9 points on 52.3-percent shooting (46-of-88) during one nine-game stretch . . . Had eight games with five-plus rebounds, hauling in season-high nine against Missouri Western while adding 15 points and three assists . . . Was named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
2013-14: Missed the season to Achilles heel injury.
High School: Baseball-basketball star at Putnam City High School, earning All-State honors in both as a senior . . . Three-year starter in basketball, averaging 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists a game his final season . . . Four-year starter in baseball and hit .407 with 22 stolen bases his senior season before being picked by the Astros in the 29th round of the Major League Baseball draft.
