Matt Mossman joined the UCO men's basketball coaching staff in 2021 and has helped guide the Bronchos to 99 wins in four seasons.

The Bronchos won the MIAA regular season title in 2021-22, his first season on the bench, and made back-to-back national tournament appearances in his first two years with the program.

In 2024-25, Central Oklahoma went 19-13 and was one shot away from a fourth consecutive 20-win season and a third trip to the national tournament in Mossman's four seasons. UCO lost in the MIAA Basketball Championship finals 72-71, just missing the league's automatic qualifier to the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Championship.

The Bronchos went 10-9 in the MIAA last season and finished fifth in the league standings. UCO was given the No. 8 seed in the league's postseason tournament based on Key Performance Index (KPI). Central won three games in three days to reach the championship, beating No. 9 seed Emporia State, No. 1 seed Washburn, and No. 4 seed Pittsburg State before falling in the title game to No. 2 seed Fort Hays State in its fourth game in as many days.

In 2023-24, Central Oklahoma went 20-11 with Mossman on the sidelines. That marked just the third time in school history there were three consecutive 20-win seasons (1990-91 – 1992-93; 2006-07 – 2010-11; 2021-22 – 2023-24). The Bronchos reached the MIAA Basketball Championship Quarterfinals.

Mossman came to UCO before the 2021-22 season and helped the Bronchos win the MIAA regular season championship. UCO won 24 games, won the league title for the first time since joining the MIAA in 2012, and returned to the NCAA tournament for the first time in over 10 years.

In 2022-23, Mossman helped Central win 26 games, the third-most in school history. The Bronchos finished second in the MIAA and were runners-up in the MIAA Basketball Championship before earning another at-large bid to the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Championship for the second year in a row.

The Bronchos have a 99-37 record since Mossman joined the staff.

Mossman, from Norman, Oklahoma, is a Oklahoma graduate and has been affixed in programs with the Sooners and at Randall University in Moore.
